“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise” Psalm 98:4
Merely leaders of worship, guiding the body of Christ to worship the Lord with song and with heart.
Sunday Morning Services
PCOM offers two services every Sunday morning at 9am and 10:45am which include a blend of traditional and contemporary music. Both Sanctuary services include a worship team, worship band, and full Sanctuary Choir. Holiday services and regular weekly services often feature guest artists and instruments, and even part or full orchestra.
AWAKE- Contemporary Worship 10:45am. The Awake service is continually seeking to open our eyes to God’s purposes in our lives.
Sacraments of Baptism, Communion, and other traditions occur at all worship services.
Special Music Events and Concerts
Throughout the year the music and worship ministry of PCOM presents a full musical concert or other creative presentation designed as an outreach for the church family and the community. These events often vary in style and theme, but are always highly anticipated by church members and guests.
All music and worship ministries at PCOM consist of a fellowship of believers seeking to glorify the Lord, Jesus Christ with their creative offerings and leadership. If you are interested in participating in any programs offered, or would like to communicate with the music and worship department, please contact the church office.
WORSHIP TEAM
The PCOM worship team leads the congregation in hymns and praise songs during Sunday worship services and special events. The worship team consists of a music band and singers who rehearse during the week and before services on Sunday morning year-round. Choir members and congregation members audition with the director of music and worship to be a part of the worship team, or to offer a special element of worship during a service.
SANCTUARY CHOIR
Our choir leads us in worship from September through June, under the direction of John Elg. Members attend weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship services. The choir sings all styles of sacred music from classical time periods to modern worship arrangements. Many choir anthems presented are composed or arranged by director of worship, Gene Roberson, choir director John Elg, or even members of the choir. Membership is open to all church members and year-long commitment is required.
KID’S PRAISE CHOIR
Kids’ Praise Choir is one of two music programs available for children at PCOM from September through June. This energetic program teaches children to praise God through music with an emphasis on upbeat praise and worship music taught VBS style. All children from kindergarten through third grade are welcome to join in the fun lead by co-directors Kelly Kroeger and Diane Schwarz on Wednesday evenings 5:15-6pm before Kids’ Klub. Kids’ Praise Choir has several performances during the year at Sunday worship services as well as holiday services and special events.
WOMEN’S CHOIR
A very special group of women gather each week to rehearse songs to minister to senior centers and nursing homes, as well as offer their voices for special music events and ministries at the church. Membership is open to all church members.
BELL CHOIR
The PCOM Bell Choir is an honored tradition for our congregation. The choir meets weekly from September through June, rehearsing special music to be added to holiday services and other special music events. Basic music reading is required for membership.
MISSION VIEJO YOUTH CHOIR
A new singing group under the direction of David Wells started this fall. Kids from 4th to 8th grade will meet on Wednesday afternoon to learn vocal techniques, and songs of worship and praise. This group will be featured in our worship services and special events throughout the year.

Psalm 150
1 Praise the LORD!
Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His mighty firmament!
2 Praise Him for His mighty acts;
Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!
3 Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet;
Praise Him with the lute and harp!
4 Praise Him with the timbrel and dance;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and flutes!
5 Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.
Praise the LORD!
