Kathy began her classical music training at age five and continued studying piano during junior high and high school in the Department of Music at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where she first felt God’s call to music ministry. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Oklahoma City University. Her ministry roles have included Director of Worship, Minister of Music, Worship Leader and Director of Choral Music Ministries. A member of ASCAP, she is a nationally published composer and arranger with WORD Entertainment and Brentwood-Benson Publishing Houses, as well as an accomplished vocalist, pianist, organist, director and educator.
Kathy’s most beloved role, however, is preparing and “equipping the saints” for service and experiencing the joy of leading worship on Sunday mornings while bringing the gospel of Jesus Christ to His family of believers, to lift up the name of Jesus through worship and music with sensitivity to the leading by the Holy Spirit, and to do so with excellence, high energy and a true sense of joy at being in the presence of our Holy God.
